After yesterday's tragic incident near Bengal Chemical in Kankurgachi, where a car overturned onto the footpath, injuring two children. Sadly, one of the children, six-year-old Ankit Sav, died today morning, again sparking outrage in the local community.

The accident occurred yesterday afternoon when a blue car lost control on Maniktala Main Road, hitting the roadside railing and falling onto the footpath where children were playing. Along with Ankit Sav, another child named Riya Ghosh was critically injured and is currently undergoing treatment in a private hospital.

The driver of the car, identified as Abhishek Sultania, was caught by the police on Friday. Abhishek claimed that his eyes were closed while driving, leading to the tragic accident.

Kolkata Police, led by DC (Eastern Suburbs) Gaurav Lal, swiftly intervened to control the situation. However, upon hearing of Ankit Sav's death, tensions flared again, prompting another demonstration by locals. Police efforts were once again required to restore order in the area.
